Pioneer SX-3800 Vintage Receiver, Serviced - SOLD

This is a great example of one of the last “traditional-silver-faced” receivers from the great receiver battles of the 1970s. Sporting a very understated 60 watts per channel, this receiver was released in 1980. The wood-look case and large faceted aluminum controls give it a very distinctive look. Couple that with the modern digital display and quartz-locked digital tuner, and it’s the best of both worlds. 

This unit has been serviced by Tom Brander, which includes: tuner calibration, output board and power supply board recap, servicing and testing of tone controls, and cleaning of all dials. 

Can be demo’d with confidence in person, with COVID precautions in place.
