Revel Performa F32 Tower Speakers, Cherry Wood Finish - SOLD

Revel has a very unique history.  Unlike most other speaker companies (like ours, for example) Revel wasn't built on a single entrepreneur's dream or an audiophile's sole desire.  Revel was purposely spun-off of the global electronics giant, Harman International, as a means to show the world what top engineers could produce in a "no holds barred" design environment.  In 1995, Revel was born and in 2000, the Performa line was released.  

Following critical acclaim from Revel's introductory products, the Performa line sought to extend the brand's reach with products suited for both music listening and home theater.  In 2004, Revel further improved the Performa line with the F52, F32, C32, and M22 products.  Cabinet construction and design were of paramount importance to the company.  As with all Revel products, drivers were designed completely in-house and manufactured to strict standards.  

These F32 speakers, standing 42 inches tall and weighing in at over 70 lbs each, are absolutely gorgeous to look at.  The design is timeless, clean and uncluttered; and so is the sound.  The speakers use twin 6.5" ceramic composite woofers in a ported chamber, 5.25" mid-woofer of the same variety in its own tuned enclosure, one 1" titanium dome tweeter to produce nearly full range sound (36-24,000 Hz) at 86 dB sensitivity.  

The speakers might seem demanding on amps due to the specs, but they are right at home with 100-200 watt per channel solid state or integrated amps from every continent.  The presentation is very inviting and imaging is an absolute treat.  Bass response is unexpectedly good for a speaker this thin and unassuming. Lovely all-rounders. Especially the natural red cherry finish which is just spectacular.
