Tannoy's engineers were asked to produce a range of loudspeakers of modest dimension and price which would retain characteristics and magic of a live performance. The T-125 speaker system, also known as the "Oxford," was an incredibly successful effort at doing just that. Built between 1979 and 1981, with high efficiency (93 dB), Tannoy Oxfords producing a clean, truthful sound, which gives remarkable fatigue-free experience.
This set is a fine example of the T-125... Clean & true they reproduce music with the vintage Tannoy sonic footprint. Their presentation is unmistakably British. Warm and inviting, they bring the listener right into the performance.
Note, the dust caps on these speakers have been replaced with aftermarket felt versions.
