The Garrard Zero-100c turntable has become somewhat of a cult classic for record player buffs. The British made spinner has many of the normal features one would expect from a fully automatic multi-disc changer from the early 1960s. But the Zero-100's ability to play smoothly, easily, cleanly, and with an air of "audiophile" precision is what sets it apart from other full auto decks of this era. The disc mechanism is complicated, but the user sees none of that. Instead the user is treated to stress-free operation and a very gentle handling of each vinyl record.
The idler-driven, dual-speed platter assembly provides reliable speed control at the touch of a button. Pitch controls are adjusted with the help of a built-in stroboscope. And the asynchronous motor is quiet and powerful. The Zero-100c will play in manual mode, but in auto mode it can accommodate 7", 10" and 12" records.
But the real treat, the treasure, the thing that sets the Zero-100c apart from most other decks is the tonearm. The tonearm is something special. The art-deco/modern inspired design is as beautiful as it is functional. The damped queuing softly drops the needle down on the groove. And the arm itself is has an "automatic" lateral pivot that allows it to track the record groove exactly as it plays. It's pure genius.
This piece has been fully serviced by our tech and is ready for possibly another 60+ years of vinyl enjoyment. It plays true and exceptionally well. The Shure stylus is included.
