Herman Hosmer Scott founded the H. H. Scott company in 1947 in Maynard, MA.  The company was a leading manufacturer of tube radio components for nearly 30 years before the solid state age took hold of the market.  The company innovated the first FM multiplexer circuit for stereo FM radio broadcasts.  In 1972 the company was purchased out of bankruptcy by EAD, and shifted gears toward more modern equipment.

The original Scott tube equipment is an exceptional audiophile value.  Components that were built to stand the tests of time and continue to perform to stellar levels today.  As long as FM broadcasts remain relevant, these Scott components will continue to pull in beautiful songs from the airwaves.

The Type 370 "Stereomaster" FM tuner uses a Wideband Multiplexing circuit to decode the finest stereo signals possible. Although the 370 was intended to be a somewhat affordable option in its day, it did shaw some unique features from Scott's highest level tuner, the 4310 - where vacuum tube diodes were used in the multiplexer decoding circuit. This unit works perfectly.  It has been cleaned and serviced by our tech. All bulbs replaced.  No disappointments!  Demos are welcome!
