AudioQuest Jaguar DBS 36v "Powered" Interconnects, Set of 5

The core of the AudioQuest Jaguar DBS performance is its patented Dielectric-Bias System (DBS), which maintains a strong, stable electrostatic field in the cable's insulation using an attached battery pack. Each cable is equipped with three 36v batteries.  All types of cable insulation can act as an imperfect capacitor, absorbing and releasing energy back into the signal flow with non-linear time delays, which causes distortion and "smearing" of the sound. By polarizing the insulation, the DBS minimizes this energy storage and the resulting time delays, ensuring that all frequencies arrive at your equipment with uniform phase shift and timing. The result is sound that emerges from a "blacker" background with enhanced detail, dynamic contrast, and a more focused soundstage. The battery pack's RF Trap, a technology developed for AudioQuest's Niagara power products, further prevents radio frequency noise from infiltrating your electronics.

In addition to the Jaguar's Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors, the cable also employs a sophisticated Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation System (NDS), which shields the shield to reduce RFI contamination of the equipment ground plane, ensuring a very low noise floor.

This cable is solidly constructed with a Triple-Balanced Geometry, which ensures proper ground referencing and prevents the shield from being used as an inferior ground path.  The cable is terminated with cold-welded, high-purity red copper plugs, gold-plated, to ensure superior signal transfer and longevity without the use of sonically degrading nickel layers.
