JBL L100t3, Great American Sound

The JBL L100 speaker was a 1970s icon.  The 3-way design utilized a dome tweeter, 4" cone midrange, and very compliant 12" treated paper cone woofer in a compact ported enclosure for an impactful and dynamic listening experience that made the L100 synonymous with Great American Sound.

In 1985, JBL reinvented the L100 by introducing the L100t, a "tall" version of the iconic predecessor, but with a few design refinements.  That larger cabinet volume, modified crossover points, and JBL's newly developed Titanium-deposited tweeters sought to elevate the fun-sized L100 to party-sized levels.  JBL did it again in 1988 with the L100t3 - Ever further improvements to the Ti tweeter design and crossover were implemented.  The "t3" became the last iteration of a classic design that has stood the tests of time.

The L100t3 has a strong presence in the room, acoustically and physically.  The L100t3's DNA is taken directly from JBL's long history developing monitors for recording studios. 

These speakers feature the well-regarded JBL 1" Ti tweeter (035A), 4" paper cone mid, and massive 12" paper cone woofer.  The woofer foam has been correctly replaced, and all components inside and outside have been tested to ensure the perfect balance.  

This speaker system sports a large rear-ported enclosure with excellent, powerful bass response. The hard-to-find blonde oak cabinets are in very good condition considering age, with only some faint sun fading behind the grilles. Grilles have been covered with new grille cloth to really finish off the look. 

The L100 lineage really are special speakers and the L100t3 is highly regarded for a reason.  It's time for you to discover for yourself what all the fuss is about.
