Luxman R-115, Little 90's Darlin'

Luxman was formed in 1925 to support Japan's burgeoning radio broadcasting industry.  Luxman's legacy has always been exceptional audio signal quality.  From professional broadcast equipment, down to entry-level home audio, Luxman is a brand long-associated with excellence.  

The R-115 receiver was released in 1990 as the "kid brother" to the monster, R-117.  Introduced just before the surround-sound takeover of the audio industry, the R-115 featured a very capable 70 watts per channel of clean, clear, and detailed solid state power.  This receiver was probably the last bastion of mid-powered, superb-quality, 2-channel receivers to hit the market from a major manufacturer.  

The R-115 includes an impeccable preamp function and a MOSFET-based digital FM tuner with great strength and signal quality.  The unit also features composite video switching, which is a relic today, but at the time allowed this receiver to be a true household AV control center. 

This unit is super clean and comes with the original remote control. No disappointments at all!
