Long mapped-to Binghamton New York – the current headquarters and manufacturing center for McIntosh Labs, not many people know the brand was originally launched outside of the Nation’s Capital in Silver Spring Maryland, in 1949. In 1956, the brand built their original facility in New York, according to the official brand website.
McIntosh is one of the most dependable brand names when it comes to high-end audio systems. For years the brand has been recognized by audiophiles throughout the world as equipment that delivers clear and consistent quality in music. McIntosh is probably best known for its amplifiers and preamps, but the company produces many other components and parts for stereo and home theatre.
The MX112 is a beautifully engineered tuner/control center for the finest stereo sound systems. It is completely solid state, with the exception of the tuning indicator. The solid state devices used in the MX112 were considered "Very New" in the state of the art of solid state physics. The extreme care in manufacturing, in layout designs and in quality control promises, the usual McIntosh extra values of reliability, performance and long life. Every desirable feature of a tuner and preamplifier is included in this design.

This MX112 has been completely serviced and updated by our expert in-house tech staff and is performing wonderfully. Just a fabulous piece of American audio history from the same year as the Classic Rock Anthem, The Guess Who's "American Woman". No disappointments with this Mac, it's got all the goods. In incredible condition with only the slightest signs of wear - definitely a piece worth owning and treasuring for many years to come. Classic Mac, nothing quite like it.
