Vintage Sansui is beloved by serious hifi enthusiast around the globe. In the 70's, when these monster receivers ruled the audio world, these big Sansuis were on the top of everyone's wish list as they paired extremely well with JBL, Acoustic Research, KLH and like classic speakers. Sansui is always mentioned to sound "tube like" in their presentation. We totally get why this seems to be the normal response when trying to categorize the brands sonic signature. Lush, rhythmic and above all POWERFUL are the buzz words that remain constant. We just say Sansui sounds like music!

The 8080 is a combination of power and sophistication in a stereo AM/FM receiver. It outputs a stable 85 watts per channel and has a built in Dolby processor, triple tone controls and four accurate meters. Input for (3) pairs of speakers & a killer classic phono stage make this 8080 a winner on every level. Couple of minor blemishes and super cool patina make this a true statement receiver sitting atop a fabulous MCM credenza bumping up against your vinyl rig - it's killer!
