Internally, the 505 Phono Preamp uses ultra low noise, solid state, hybrid circuitry to deliver incredible performance with open, transparent, musical and dynamic sound: A well-known and award-winning formula for all of Moonriver Audio's products. The 505 phono stage will elevate the performance of your analog system to a whole new level, no matter if matched an affordable or entry-level turntable, or an ultra hi-end system with a precious, very low output moving coil cartridge.

The discrete internal components of the 505 are designed and arranged with 3 principles in mind: Isolation in-between noise sources and sensitive audio signal; a minimalistic approach with less components as possible in the signal; and the shortest signal path possible. Moonriver 505 uses double-shielding: one for the transformer and one for the active gain circuits. This approach eliminates the need for an external transformer and all of the associated disadvantages of such a design. 

Designed with audiophiles, record collectors and vinyl freaks in mind, the 505 boasts 4 inputs. It also supports every possible adjustment on the fly with dedicated knobs and switches to ideally match your MC or MM cartridge.  This unique, adjustment feature of the Moonriver 505 hybrid phono stage allows “on the fly” listening tests with various adjustments without the need to switch off, remove the cover, switch on again and wait to warm it up.
