The Prodigy series is PMC's affordably priced high-performance line.  As with all PMC speakers, the Prodigy line was developed with the utmost discrimination regarding the selection of components and overall build quality.  Both the prodigy1 and prodigy5 models use PMC's patented "ATL" transmission line design approach with great effect. The 2-way designs yield crossovers that are easy to drive and pleasing to the ear. 

The prodigy1 is a stand-mount, 2-way speaker ideal for small- to medium-sized listening rooms. Despite its small size, the prodigy1 delivers impactful sound with superb dynamics.  The crossovers have been designed around the driver components to bring realism and life to music, with robust, accurate midrange - Ideal vocals when needed the most.  This is accomplished by used of a relatively low crossover point at 1,700 Hz, allowing the tweeter to handle a good deal of midrange information without phase distortion or other complications from the crossover components themselves. 

It’s easy to see and hear that the prodigy1 is closely related to PMC's compact nearfield monitors, a reference in recording and broadcast facilities worldwide: the prodigy1 is more than capable of resolving detail that puts you in touch with the original performance – no matter the size.

The Prodigy series are all finished in a satin black veneer to blend in to nearly every decor.
