The Prodigy series is PMC's affordably priced high-performance line.  As with all PMC speakers, the Prodigy line was developed with the utmost discrimination regarding the selection of components and overall build quality.  Both the prodigy1 and prodigy5 models use PMC's patented "ATL" transmission line design approach with great effect. The 2-way designs yield crossovers that are easy to drive and pleasing to the ear. 

The prodigy5 is a floor-standing, 2-way speaker ideal for medium- to larger-sized listening rooms and home theaters. The prodigy5 delivers the same high-quality and dynamic range as its larger counterparts in the PMC range by utilizing he company's patented ATL design and dual tuned exit channels.  Like the prodigy1, the crossovers on the 5 have been designed around this unique set of driver components to bring realism and life to music, with robust, accurate midrange - Ideal vocals when needed the most.  This is accomplished by used of a relatively low crossover point at 1,700 Hz, allowing the tweeter to handle a good deal of midrange information without phase distortion or other complications from the crossover components themselves. 

The 5.25" composite cone, long-throw woofer, and 1" coated soft-dome tweeter combine perfectly in this package.  Designed to reveal all the quality of your electronics, the slender prodigy5 will blend into any space, with the option of grilles available for those who like their speakers even more discreet.

The Prodigy series are all finished in a satin black veneer to blend in to nearly every decor.
