Infinity SM152, The Ultimate Party Speaker

The Infinity SM152 is not a subtle loudspeaker; it is built to impress, to dominate a space, and to deliver sound with authority. One of the defining traits of the SM152 is its astonishing sensitivity of 102 dB (1W/1m). That means even modestly powered amplifiers can drive these speakers to room-shaking levels with ease, while larger amplifiers can unlock their full dynamic potential without strain. Power handling is rated up to 300 watts, making them an absolute screaming beast when pushed to the limits. 

The SM152 features a massive 15-inch composite paper cone woofer, a driver capable of moving serious air while maintaining the control and punch needed for big moments in music. Rated to reach as low as 40 Hz, this system delivers bass that is deep and powerful. Each woofer is paired with two 4.5-inch midrange drivers, which handle the heart of the music with clarity and articulation.  The top end is anchored by Infinity’s 1-inch Polycell tweeter, designed for clean, extended high frequencies up to 25 kHz. Together, this driver array produces a frequency response that is broad, dynamic, and exciting — ideal for listeners who want sound that leaps from the speakers with life and energy.

This set are finished in a matte black vinyl veneer which is in very nice condition all around.  Woofer foam has been restored, and we added some additional internal damping material to help improve lower-midrange control even further.  Note, one mid cone had some damage, which we mended. The patch visible but not audible, it plays well with the whole system.
