The RBH C-770 was part of a multi-speaker home theater system. Using a standard "M-T-M" 2-way design for horizontal dispersion and vocal clarity, the C-770 acts as a vocal and sound effects anchor for a home theater setup. The twin aluminum cone 6.5" woofers and ferrofluid cooled 1" dome tweeter combine with a beefy internal crossover network for an advertised power handling capacity of 250 watts...That's a lot of juice for a center! But it makes sense due to the demands modern music and movie performances put on the center position.
Founded in 1976, RBH Sound initially established itself as an OEM manufacturer, producing high-performance speakers for well-known audio companies like McIntosh, Parasound, and Fosgate. In 1986, the company shifted its focus to building its own brand, relocating to Utah and specializing in loudspeakers, subwoofers, and custom-installed audio products. Today, RBH remains a privately held company known for producing high-performance speakers, often utilizing in-house manufacturing for their cabinetry to maintain quality control.
The C-770 is an example of RBH's design excellence. It's simple, powerful, tonally accurate and well-constructed. This example has a few bumps and bruises from age, but no show-stoppers and it plays very well.
