Ariston Audio, RD11s w/SME Arm & Rega Cart - Superstar Classic Turntable!

Ariston Audio was a Scottish company building reference level turntables that are considered the predecessor to the ever famous Linn Sondek LP12. Maybe you know that the Ariston RD11 was first built in 1971. A little history for you if interested in this deck, It was based on the AR turntable of the early 60's with a similar floating suspension system. 

Look familiar? Well it should. When the designer, Hamish Robertson, left in 1973, he took the design with him to his new company, and relabelled it - Linn LP12. Many of today's modifications for the Linn LP12 will work on a 35 year old Ariston.

This particular RD11s is sporting an SME3009 arm which was the preferred setup when offered new. It's a fabulous mate to this table and now, fitted with a Rega, Exact cart ($600 value) is a true high end plug and play machine. The table and its accompaniments come from a carefully curated collection of turntables owned by the biggest collectior of vinyl we've ever come accross having over 2200 LPs. This was his go-to deck for many years and he babied it like none other. It is now fitted with a new cover, upgraded RCA and has been gone through front to back here in-house by our expert TT tech. Its ready to spin your favorite vinyl for the next 20yrs.

This is a true high end package - table, arm & cart are all of the highest quality and is an amazing sum of its parts - you don't want to miss this one. Solid 9 in appearence and a 10+ in classic analog glory. Its a special deck for sure!
