Long mapped-to Binghamton New York – the current headquarters and manufacturing center for McIntosh Labs – not many people know the brand was originally launched outside of the Nation’s Capital in Silver Spring Maryland, in 1949. In 1956, the brand built their original facility in New York, according to the official brand website.

The sound of the unit is pure McIntosh with very smooth delivery across ther audible band. Front to back separation is as good as left to right on any speaker combination we plug in with it. The power delivers controlled bass and clean lifelike mids and highs. We're certain it would be great for theater for which it was designed but if you're considering 300W+ for your 2 channel, you should consider this as a solid option. Beautiful overall condition and is just off the HHA tech bench and said to perform to spec. All and all a fabulous power package ready to power your HT or 2.0 setup. Oh, and we love the ultra cool 80's multi-channel LEDs too!
