These speakers have a great presentation, a vintage look, and a small footprint. They play great with moderately powered receivers, but really open up with good power. The cone tweeter is surprisingly articulate, covered in AR's "acoustic blanket" felt material to reduce diffraction. The 8" mid-bass driver and 8" low-frequency driver have all been refoamed. The crossover caps have been replaced with poly/film type. Really nice setup for someone at a great entry-level price point.
