If you walked into a Tweeter Etc. back in the late 80s-early 90's with $1500 to spend chances are you left with these two components to drive the KEF or a/d/s/ speakers they included in your new rig. The 100 watts per channel of the GFA-545 was more than enough to drive most any speaker available in those days. It is a remarkably smooth amp with plenty of grunt when needed. 

With a design that has been attributed to Nelson Pass, the 545 offers a formidable 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms (and approximately 150W into 4 ohms).  Known for its punchy, neutral, and transparent sound, this Class AB amplifier features a minimalist circuit design with high-current capability, allowing it to drive low-impedance, "difficult" loudspeaker loads with ease.

The unit is built around a heavy-duty toroidal transformer and features a generous 40,000µF of filter capacitance, which provides significant headroom and excellent bass transient response.

This GFA-545 is ready to play beautifully for the next 20 years, and has been tested and verified by our in-house tech.. This is a can't miss setup that was cared for, with little to no physical wear at all.
