Advent Heritage Tower Speakers - SOLD

The Advent Heritage speaker was designed as a top-of-the-line, modernized replacement for Advent’s massively successful “Legacy” line. As with nearly all Advent models from 1968 to the early 1990s, they featured an acoustic suspension design, Advent's hallmark driver alignment.  The Heritage introduced a modernized style that favored a narrower front baffle, and taller, deeper sealed cabinet.   Two 8” long-throw woofers combine with an improved 1” polyamide tweeter than the Legacy line for smoother crossover integration and reduced upper-end sibilance. The crossover frequency is relatively high, at 3,500 HZ, allowing the woofers, crossed over at different and overlapping frequencies to handle much midrange energy.  The result is a sparkly high end and smooth and enjoyable midrange instrumentation and vocals. 

This set features the decorative solid pecan front baffles and top caps which have been cleaned and refinished. The crossover capacitors were replaced with new poly-film type components, a massive audible improvement over the originals. All four woofers have been refoamed and provide, deep, even-handed bass response down to 40Hz.
