From exceptional tuners to monster receivers, Kenwood products from this time period are built well and provide excellent sound quality.

The KT-8007 AM/FM Stereo Tuner is one example of Kenwood’s lasting excellence in design. Introduced in 1974, the tuner was their top-of-the-line model and incorporated features that would follow every TOTL model following it.  The tuner operates a 5-gang front end coupled with two 4-stage dynamic filters assisting in the signal path.  This tuner is considered one of the best Kenwood, or any company, ever made. The chip-based tuning (as opposed to traditional MPX style tuning, is set forever and never needs adjustment or alignment.  With 100dB selectivity, channel and signal separation are superb.
