The Melos SHA-1 is a musical tube headphone amplifier and recognized Stereophile "product of the year" recipient that makes your audio source a joy to listen to.
The SHA-1 is a dual triode balanced input - line amplifier coupled to a source follower driver that provides ample drive and a low output impedance. This arrangement offers exceptional phase linearity and very low output impedance .5ohm. The SHA-1 uses separate voltage regulators for voltage and power amplifier and has 3 line inputs /one output. Two toggle switch and one volume control.
The SHA-1 can be used as a line stage only preamp too which is a real added bonus. For those "can guys" who have been looking for headphone amp nirvana, this will take you there. Was originally developed in a collaboration with Grado and at the time it was brought to market in 1995, it was the best of the best products available. Fast forward almost 30yrs and it STILL remains a reference piece. Comes with the stock Sovtek 6922 tubes but if you like to roll, this amp is extremely sensitive to different tubes... can lean right in with your favorites feom Amperex, Telefunken or Brimar. Comes with original box and packaging w/OM. Solid 8+ condition with only slight signs of use. Another killer piece from the Richard K Collection.
