Philips, High Fidelity Laboratories 7851
Back in the late 70s Philips Audio was turning out some very high quality gear. The company never cought hold here in the states like the did in Europe (company is headquartered in The Netherlands) and rightfully so. We had many many manufacturers all jockeying to get our hifi dollars. Nonetheless, Philips gear found its way to our shores and those who were lucky enough to forgo several over hyped brands and shift gears to a lesser known builder were rewarded with sonic excellence.

We are oh-so pleasantly surprised by the look and performance of this little amp. Guess we shouldn't be but it's got a certain vibe and sonic footprint that is incredibly satisfying. Just a wonderful receiver. Strong FM section and all the inputs you'd need include a formidable phono stage. A can't miss piece - no disappointments here. It's got all the businsss!
