Pioneer, SX-3900 Receiver

The Pioneer SX-3900 receiver is a real monster. This amazing, heavy, and HUGE piece of audio history is a real gem and has been completely serviced and cleaned. The tuner works perfectly and the Fluoroscan display is bright and clear. Introduced in 1980, this was a unique receiver that had both an analog tuning dial and a digital quartz-lock tuner with display. All lights work.

Sound is clean and powerful. This receiver will power any speaker you plug into it, hands down.  It features 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms, and during these years of the "receiver wars" these pieces were often measured well in excess of their advertised output.  The receiver has a plethora of inputs and outputs to connect all your vintage turntables, reel-to-reel decks, cassettes, 8-tracks, and maybe even a didgeridoo or two!  

The only visible flaws with this receiver are some of the corners of the wood veneered case have rounded over the years. The silver face is nearly flawless.
