Triangle, Titus 202 - Reviewer's Darling Monitors!

The Triangle Titus 202 is a smallish 2-way bookshelf loudspeaker in a conventional front-firing bass reflex enclosure.  The enclosure itself is well constructed and in this example, wrapped in a beautiful cherry wood veneer.

The drivers are made by Triangle: the new 1" TZ 202 tweeter uses a front golden dome (with phase-compensating waveguide) and the T13 PP70C 5" mid-woofer uses a pleated suspension which is commonly seen on professional drivers.

The crossover network is quite minimalist (a coil and a cap) and cuts the woofer at 6 kHz, an unusually high frequency even for such a small driver. This means the midwoofer reproduces both the bass and the mid range, leaving the high range to the tweeter.

The Triangle Titus 202 has been reviewed to death... it is an all time favorite of MANY of the audio reviewers both online & in print. It's their little darling and an absolute slayer of larger speakers with many more drivers and costing many more dollars. We had heard these before and somone here at the shop also had a set at one time. Ya gotta know, these are special little boxes. The synergy between their horn tweeters and midbass diver is sublime. No color, super flat and just melt into the room. A truly spectacular speaker no mater the costs or size - totally capable of filling a large room with an incredibly lush soundscape; just awesome. This set comes to us by way of our Quebecois friends & have been lovingly taken care of since new. Solid 9+ in appearence and 10+ in performance.
