C588 Belt-Drive Turntable

The NAD C588 turntable is an excellent upgrade from the already smooth and trouble-free C558. For those loving the nostalgia of vinyl, but who want the reliability of a new unit and an elevated sense of...Everything, this is the turntable to turn to.  The C588 features a double-thickness painted MDF plinth, cast aluminum pulley system and sub-platter, and glass platter with felt slip mat for a super-quiet foundation.  The C588 then elevates things further with an ultra-quiet, isolated DC voltage motor with electronic speed control.

The 9" straight, carbon fiber, tone arm is lightweight and precision-made.  It allows for both VTL and Azimuth adjustment, manually.  The counterweight is decoupled from the arm, and the anti-skate mechanism is magnetic for even further isolation.  The whole thing sits on top of custom-machined, adjustable, aluminum isolation spikes. 

These turntables come equipped with the award-winning Ortofon 2M Red moving magnet phono cartridge.  

The hinged Perspex dust cover is designed to reduce resonances in and around the table, again for the quietest operation possible with the cover up or down.
