Adcom GFA-5300 Power Amp, A Mighty Mite!

Following the success of Adcom's first couple lines of GFA amplifiers, the 5x00 series was introduced in 1994 as an improvement over previous models with quieter performance, better heat management, and the same direct-coupling output that made Adcom's first Nelson Pass designs so famous.  Touting a high damping factor and reduced phase shift to assist in controlling speakers with more varied impedance curves, the GFA-5300 might look simple on the outside, but is packed with sophisticated circuitry that Adcom had developed over the top prior decades. 

The sound from this amp is clean and uncolored. With 80-watts per channel into 8 ohms and 130 watts per channel into 4 ohms, the amp is extremely capable and friendly to speakers of all types: dynamic, electrostatic, and even hybrid designs.
