B&O RX2 Automatic Turntable, MMC5 Cart, Smooth as Silk

Bang & Olufsen (B&O) is known the world-over for exceptional hifi audio, video, and teleconferencing equipment.  Founded in 1925 in Denmark by two engineers, B&O is one of the oldest audio companies in history.  And from Day 1, B&O started doing things a little "differently" - with an eye toward high-design and styling.  Fast forward to today, and B&O is one of the most exclusive brands around, from being featured on Hollywood movie sets to sponsoring Formula 1 teams, B&O is a major enterprise.

The RX2 was introduced in 1985 and was known for the best possible turntable for those who like critical listening and throwing large house parties.  Why?  Because of the precise belt drive mechanism, lightweight aluminum alloy tonearm, full-functional controls, and miraculously suspended plinth.  And the magic of this unit was hidden inside that thin unassuming plinth...Somehow making this turntable nearly unskippable.  

This unit has been serviced and cleaned. The original MMC5 cartridge is included and completely set up for maximum performance.  The cart was also sent to Steve Leung at VAS for a complete retip with new alum cantilever and elliptical stylus.  As anyone who knows B&O tables knows, nearly all the value is in the cartridge, and this one is stellar.
