Luxman was formed in 1925 to support Japan's burgeoning radio broadcasting industry.  Luxman's legacy has always been exceptional audio signal quality.  From professional broadcast equipment, down to entry-level home audio, Luxman is a brand long-associated with excellence.  

This R-1050 Stereo Solid State receiver is no exception.  The look, design, impeccable build quality, internal layout & controls all contribute to a beautiful piece of equipment where every detail has been carefully thought out.  The front face is dominated by a large, center-mounted radio tuning dial which harkens to Luxman's history in the industry.

The unit provides a conservative 55 watts per channel and features 2 sets of speaker output terminals.  It also features two phono inputs, two tape loop circuits, and an auxiliary input for excellent versatility. The R-1050 Is said to be the "sweet spot" of the late 70's R-line and everyone in this shop who's played it is in agreement; it's a solid cut above the Marantz, Pioneer, etc of the same era. This piece is both beautiful in its Rosewood cabinet and in its detailed & weighty performance. It's been completely gone through by our in-house tech and is ready to be the center of your vintage (or contemporary) 2.0 kit. Truly an amazing piece of vintage audio history.
