Ohm C2 Full Size Monitors - SOLD

THE OHM C2 speaker was Introduced to the US market in 1977 and had been sold for 5 years until 1982. Considering the original retail price of $695, the C2 was clearly positioned in the high-end market. At its time, its was Ohm´s most successful and most widely known bookshelf speaker. It is a three-way full size monitor style speaker having a 10 inch woofer and two tweeters (one low - one dome super tweeter). At the back of the speaker a level controller is located to adjust the highs. An interesting feature was a sheet of black Formica-esqe laminate affixed to the back planel to cancel out cabinet vibration and add a sense of luxury should the speakers be located in a space where the backs might be visible. 

We come across C2s every once in a while and agree they are one of the most all-around satisfying speakers of their generation. They look incredible with the grills off and the real walnut wood veneer on these has been recently oiled and presents beautifully. Have had new foam and a full re-cap done and are singing now in-house mated to a wonderful Sansui, AU-D11 (will be available for purchase soon) and it's pure audio gold! This is the CLEANEST set we've seen. No real flaws or blemishes to speak of. They have been extremely well preserved.
