Denon PMA-3000NE, Another "Future Classic" Integrated Amplifier

Although a new model (retailing for $3,800 online), the Denon PMA-3000NE is sure to be a “Future Classic” for audio enthusiasts looking for utmost build quality in a newer package.  When so many other household names abandoned strictly 2-channel analog amplification, Denon (and sister company Marantz) have gone all-in with certain models. The 3000NE is one of them. 

The Denon PMA-3000NE is designed to deliver 80W per channel into 8 ohms (and 160W into 4 ohms) using an advanced UHC-MOS (Ultra High Current MOS) Single Push-Pull Circuit. This amplifier architecture is optimized for demanding speaker loads, providing exceptional linearity and high-speed current delivery for improved detail. The unit also features a vibration-resistant chassis and a carefully executed internal layout.

Analog purists are served with a built-in high-gain MM/MC phono equalizer, paired with a "simple & straight" circuit design for minimal signal distortion. The amplifier also includes a "Pure Analog Mode" that disables all digital circuits and the OLED display, preventing any digital interference during critical analog listening sessions.  We’ve heard of “Pure Direct” on the digital plane, which this Denon also has, but Pure Analog is a new one, and we are here for it.

The PMA-3000NE is an analog pro, but it won’t leave your digital needs wanting either. It utilizes Denon’d proprietary 7th-generation Ultra AL32 Processing, which employs data interpolation algorithms to upsample and process digital signals up to 384kHz/32-bit. This high-resolution processing is paired with a quad-DAC configuration (ESS ES9018K2M x 4) in a dual-differential mode, significantly reducing noise and improving channel separation. The digital section supports asynchronous USB-B connectivity for high-res audio streaming, along with optical and coaxial inputs that support up to 192kHz/24-bit audio.

The combination of UHC-MOS technology, advanced digital processing, and a dedicated phono stage provides a versatile, premium listening experience for both modern high-res files and classic vinyl records.  This specific unit is only 6 months old, marry a mark on it anywhere.  Comes equipped with  the box, packaging, remote, and manual.  

And the sound is spectacular - Clean, clear, detailed, and very powerful.
