Acoustic Research ARXA Vintage Turntable, "Marc Morin Modified," Ultra Performance - SOLD

The Acoustic Research ARXA turntable is one of the most copied turntable designs ever created.  Originally introduced in 1961, the ARXA was known for its incredibly simple and innovative 3-point floating suspension, lightweight aluminum tube tonearm, heavy-duty 2-piece aluminum platter, and ultra-quiet motor.  

This unit is a single motor version which has been completely rebuilt and updated to "Marc Morin" standards.  Marc Morin was an audiophile enthusiast who became known for developing a list of modifications that would extract the absolute best performance from this turntable.  Modifications include recapped motor controller, new suspension components, new tinsel leads, new RCA-type output terminals, new IEC-type power cord terminal, new plexiglass dust cover, and refinished walnut veneer plinth.    Also, a brand new Music Hall Spirit cartridge has been loaded for easy "plug and play" operation.
