What (sorta) began as Dahlquist, evolved into Alón, and eventually became Nola, is the speaker company still alive and kicking today that manufactured these beauties in the late 1990s. Although several generations removed from John Dahlquists’s original DQ-10, the Alón Lotus Elite speaker system shares many of the same traits as Dahlquist’s iconic designs: sealed speaker enclosures, open-backed mid and high frequency baffle positioning, and hand-picked speaker drivers of exceptional quality.

These speakers are becoming more and more rare, and are known for their ability to provide a realistic and astonishing soundstage. The open back AlNiCo midrange & dipole tweeter add to their incredible imaging. Truly fabulous presentation of instruments and visuals and the dual 8” woofers provide plenty of low end kick when needed.

Add to this the Thunderbolt subwoofer, which hosts a 12” reinforced paper pulp, long-excursion driver and amplifier specs that are so special, the company never published any. But the power output could only be described as “plenty.” Bass is huge and also easily tamed to mesh seamlessly with the towers.

These speakers have been painstakingly restored to extraordinary working and cosmetic condition by our in-house restoration team. They received all new surrounds. The cabinets had some veneer edge damage, so we re-veneered the edges and restored their beautiful lines to near perfection.

These are working perfectly and sound amazing in our listening room connected to a wonderful Octave Audio VS40SE. Their deep cherry finish is exotic and super rich. These things scream luxury and have a build quality second to none. They feature bi-wire inputs for ultimate flexibility. Solid 8+ condition... Exceptional all around.
