Atoll IN80 & CD50... French Power Couple

ATOLL Electronique is a small boutique Frech hifi company that makes extraordinary equipment. Formed in 1997, the company set out to produce the utmost in performance at affordable price points to the masses.  One of the company's first product lines included the IN80 and CD50 components we have here.  The brand quickly gained recognition as being a stand-up performer in the industry with exceptional build quality. 

We have to 100% agree with this sentiment. These Atoll pieces are SOLID and they don't look or play like they are almost 25-years old.  

With the IN80 integrated amp, voicing is crystal clear and open, remarkably so for a solid state amplifier.  Featuring 80 watts per channel, the IN80 plays with energy and control. This is especially so in the bass range, and we mean any kind of bass: electric bass, double bass, pipe organ, the IN80 just plays it all effortlessly.  One other interesting facet to this amp, it plays clean recordings and sorta-bad recordings equally well...Almost allowing bad recordings to have new life!

In a few words, this little "Frenchie" can sound very, very musical and has plenty of life, precise, shiny and emotionally involving; an exceptional integrated.

Its companion here, the CD50, is equally adept at pulling the most exacting joy out of every recording.  It reads discs perfectly and has all of the functionality one would expect from a hi-end performer. This player is as stout on the inside as the outside.  While the outside is complimented by its beautiful anodized aluminum face, the inside is graced if a state-of-the-art 24 bit/192k BurrBrown DAC with double-thick circuit boards, and only the highest level of internal components. 

We can't imagine separating this pair, so we are offering them together.
