The Audiolab 8000S is a highly-regarded, classic integrated amplifier known for its exceptional flexibility, robust build quality, and clear, dynamic sonic performance. A successor to the legendary 8000A, it features a full-width, low-profile metallic chassis that epitomizes classic British Hi-Fi design.

The 8000S boasts 60 watts per channel (into 8 Ohms) and is known for its clear, punchy sound, featuring multiple line-level inputs (CD, Tuner, Aux, Video, Tape 1 & 2) with separate record outputs, motorized Alps volume/input controls for remote operation, relay-based silent switching, and robust protection circuits (short-circuit, DC offset, thermal). It boasts a wide frequency response (1Hz-65kHz), low distortion (<0.05% THD), and a classic design providing excellent performance for its class.

Built for flexibility, the 8000S is also configurable, via a rotary dial on the front face, to function as a preamp only, integrated, pre + power amp, or passthru amplifier only. This allows the 8000S to grow around and within your existing system while maintaining the sound signature of the 8000S’s amazing internal components and resultant musicality.

This piece has been lovingly cared for and comes with the original paperwork and remote. Barring a few very superficial marks on the top case, it’s a clean classic and ready for everyday use.
