The Bowers & Wilkins HTM4S center channel speaker delivers the unmistakable sonic character of the 800-series lineage in a form engineered specifically for clarity, intelligibility, and seamless front-stage integration. Its design reflects B&W’s meticulous approach: the gently curved cabinet reduces internal standing waves and minimizes diffraction, while the heavy, braced enclosure provides a stable, low-resonance platform for the drivers to perform at their full potential. Finished to the same high standard as its floorstanding counterparts, the HTM4S brings a sense of craftsmanship and acoustical seriousness to any system it anchors.
At the heart of the HTM4S is Bowers & Wilkins’ acclaimed FST "Balanced Drive" Kevlar mid-bass driver. Dialogue emerges with crisp articulation and natural timbre, free from the boxiness or haze that lesser designs often introduce. Using B&W’s Kevlar cone and long-throw motor systems, this 6.5-inch component provides weight, punch, and stability in the lower registers while maintaining control even at cinema-reference levels.
High frequencies are rendered through B&W’s Nautilus-tube aluminum dome tweeter, housed in its tapered damping chamber to absorb rear-wave energy and extend treble response with clarity and air.
Technically sophisticated yet easy to integrate, the HTM4S offers smooth impedance behavior and controlled dispersion, allowing it to blend effortlessly with the 803 or 804 series mains while still performing admirably in mixed-brand setups. Whether used in a dedicated theater or a hybrid music-and-cinema system, it brings a sense of calm precision to the center channel—anchoring the soundstage, sharpening imaging, and delivering the lifelike presence that makes film dialogue and musical vocals feel immediate and emotionally engaging.
In beautiful black ash finish, this center is ready to play in all conditions.
