Driven by their "Great British Sound" philosophy, Cambridge Audio engineers their products to deliver pure, unadulterated audio that brings music to life exactly as the artist intended.
The Cambridge Audio AXA35 is an entry-level, Class AB integrated amplifier rated at 35 watts per channel into an 8 ohm load. Built around a robust toroidal transformer and a resonance-damping steel chassis, the internal design is as clean and well-thought-out as the exterior. This little amp was designed to prioritize high-current delivery and short signal path routing to achieve a clear, three-dimensional soundstage.
The unit’s analog side features four line-level RCA inputs, a dedicated Moving Magnet (MM) phono stage for direct turntable integration, and a front-panel 1/8” auxiliary input. Driven by high-quality Texas Instruments output devices, the topology omits digital-to-analog converters (DACs), allowing listeners to employ superior outboard DACs while relying on the amp for refined dynamic performance.
This AXA35 is pristine. As if it has never left the packaging. We’re not sure if it ever did other than to take these photos. Being offered below retail for what amounts to a basically new, current model.
