Cary CAD808 "Rocket 88R & Dennis Had DJH Signature AE-3 6SN7 Linestage - USA, USA, USA! Spectacular Combo

So this is a truly SPECIAL setup. Its been lovingly taken care of by a staff member and when I say it's a spectacular amp/line combo, you gotta hear it to believe it. 
Since Dennis Had founded Cary Audio in 1989, the company has stayed at the forefront of home entertainment equipment by stubbornly adhering to the principles of quality and musicality. It’s not enough just to be able to build great-sounding gear, but it needs to be well-made, reliable, and maintain its performance and value for many years. Cary components are revered the world over and the electronics featured here are among his most beloved. The CAD 808 "Revised" Rocket 88 R is a 30/60 watt per channel triode/ultra linear KT-88 based tube amplifier of the highest order. It uses (4) KT-88 tubes in the power stage, (2) 12BZ7 inverters and (2) EL84 in the driver stage. Its truly a sublime amplifier and the "R" version is rare & highly coveted. In Triode Class A it presents 30 watts x 2 of highly articulate resolving tubey greatness. In 60 watt Ultralinear is got pace and slam. There's so much on the net about this amp it can be overwhelming but just know, it's all true!

Its partner in crime is the Dennis Had DJH Signature AE-3 6SN7 based linestage. A relatively inconspicuos piece but elegant in its simplicity. 6SN7 tubes in a pre/linestage are truly magic. 3 inputs for CD/Streamer/Tuner or whatever you like. The 6SN7 give NO color - just an open window for the KT-88 based (can use EL34 too) amp to blow its soft breeze through. Honestly, one of my all time favorite pairings. We have this is a front of the house setup with Ariston RD-11 Table & Klipsch Cornwalls and one wouod be hard pressed to put togther a more satisfying setup. I mean it's just so great in every way. Both pieces are I  9+ aesthetic condition SUPER CLEAN and perform a solid 11+! Rocket cones w/fairly new Gold Lion KT-88 & EL84s and RCA 12BZ7s are new as well. The AE-3 gets new Electro Harmonix 6SN7s... not even burnt in yet. All boxes, pachaging & OMs.

We want to keep these two togther but may be persuaded to break up this power couple. Would be a travesty but if we must, we can talk it out. Come to the new shop in Andover to have a listen. If you do, you will leave with these. Can't emphasise enough how amazing these pieces are individually but togther, well, come share in the experievce.
