Denon DRA-397 Stereo Receiver, Clean Power
The Denon DRA-397 is a stereo receiver with powerful amplification and precise audio reproduction. Sporting 80 watts per channel of very clean power, the amp is a very capable performer and able to comfortably handle challenging 4 ohm speaker loads. It features a variety of inputs and outputs, including multiple audio inputs and a dedicated phono input for turntable connection. Uniquely, the DRA-397 also features and on-board "XM-ready" Radio tuner for those die-hard sat radio buffs out there.
The amp can drive two sets of speakers, has a Zone 2 line output, as well as a dedicated subwoofer output. It also features a "Pure Direct" output mode which bypasses internal tone controls to reduce internal noise and provide the most precise power delivery possible. Finally, the amplifier output stage, inout components, and power components are carefully positioned within the unit using a system Denon called Signal Level Divided Construction (SLDC) - means of reducing interference between these key components while in operation.
This is a great entry-level receiver that sounds fantastic and is ready to run for years to come.
