Drobo Mini, The Perfect Music Storage Companion

The Drobo Mini portable data storage device combines advanced data protection into an ultra-compact, travel-friendly form factor. At its core, the device utilizes Drobo’s proprietary BeyondRAID technology, which allows for seamless drive mixing, matching, and hot-swapping without data loss.

Measuring just seven inches square and weighing under three pounds, it accommodates up to four 2.5-inch SATA drives, featuring an innovative spring-loaded drive bay design. This unit comes equipped with four 1TB Seagate SSHD drives, all firing at 100%.

The Drobo Mini utilizes a dual-interface I/O featuring both Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 connectivity and despite the company’s closure a few years ago, the Drobo Dashboard application is still available online for both Windows and Mac users.

The dual Thunderbolt ports enable seamless daisy-chaining of multiple devices.  Power continuity and data integrity are managed via an internal battery backup, and a dedicated mSATA SSD slot acts as an automated data tiering accelerator, leveraging Drobo’s "Hot Data Cache" to intelligently keep frequently accessed files readily available.

The Mini is especially useful for audio-files, where rapid access of hi-res music is paramount.  Use the Drobo Mini to store hundreds of thousands of the highest resolution audio for years of safe keeping, network sharing, music production.

Just recently tested and configured on a Mac, this unit comes ready with over 1TB of music, locked and loaded.  Comes in the original packaging, with paperwork, power supply, USB cable, and Thunderbolt cable.
