Hafler 9180 Power Amplifier, Solid & Refined

The Hafler 9180 power amplifier might look like a compact unit for its time, but it packs a big punch and is often referred to as one of the company's most refined designs.  The amp was introduced in 1991 by the powerhouse, Hafler, using a Lateral MOSFET power output stage.  

The 9180 features 105 watts per channel of stereo power into an 8 ohm load (and able to be bridged to 300 watts in mono configuration).  Part of the scalability of this amp is in the 200 damping factor which allows it to provide just the right amount of juice, when needed, for those peak transients and dynamics in music recordings. 

This 9180 has been a 1-owner unit its whole life. Carefully maintained and never over driven.  It has just come off our tech's bench and received a clean bill of health. This little powerhouse is at home in any 2-channel setup, whether it be a modest one or an outlandish one -- The 9180 can keep up with the Jonses.
