Heaven11 Audio Billie (Mk1), The Little Hybrid That Started It All!

What started as a Kickstarter campaign in 2016, eventually launched a small and successful company, founded by a passionate musician and audio nut, Itai Azerad.  Built in Montreal, Canada, (and almost completely sourced by Canadian manufacturers and craftspeople) the Billie’s modern aesthetic and minimalistic design belie the power underneath.   

The Heaven11 Audio “Billie” Hybrid Integrated Digital Amplifier is an audio powerhouse in a compact, gorgeous case, and Holt Hill Audio is proud to be their first North American partner and reseller.  This unit is the "original" Mk1 from back in the Kickstarter days.  The chassis is smaller than the current design, but it is no less functional and still sounding as glorious as ever.  

The machined billet aluminum chassis acts as part of the heat dissipation setup for the internal ICEPower 100 watt per channel output transistors. The Class-D topology allows for a compact and cool-running amplifier with plenty of grunt to get along with a host of speakers from yesteryear to modern day.  We currently have this Billie connected to a set of Snell Type E from 1977 and the acoustic profile is simply magic. 

The preamp side of the Billie contains a whole host of analog and digital inputs, including a clean and lovely MM phono stage.  The onboard ESS9018K2M DAC allows for 32/384 processing through Optical TOSLINK inputs.  For convenience, an AptX Bluetooth input is also an option.  And of course, those iconic ECC99 tubes poking out from the top give a warmth to the sound that's always welcomed.

Finally, the aesthetic is completed with a set of hand crafted and milled walnut knobs which contrast the anodized alum body perfectly.
