JBL L100 Century, A Timeless Classic Loudspeaker

The JBL L100 speaker is a 1970s icon.  So much so that JBL recent re-introduced the L100 as "The Classic" in 2019.  Referred to then, and now, as "bookshelf" speakers, L100s really enjoy life on the ground, or maybe a few inches up.  These speakers take their DNA directly from JBL's long history developing monitors for recording studios.  The 3-way system uses the exact components derived from the 4311/B Control Monitor which has been used as a playback monitor for decades. 

Renowned for its "forward" sound, high efficiency (~91 dB), and power handling, the design features a 12-inch paper cone woofer (123A-1), a 5-inch midrange driver (LE5-2), and a 1.4-inch cone tweeter (LE25) with Alnico V magnets. The drivers, often aligned vertically, are housed in sturdy 3/4" composite and walnut-veneered cabinets.

This pair of L100 Century is in excellent physical condition. All corners are perfect.  The original wood-framed grilles have been recovered in "JBL Blue.”  The crossovers have been recapped and serviced by Holt Hill Audio for many more decades of enjoyment.
