Kenwood began making consumer audio products in the 1960s under the Trio brand. In the 1970s, the company grabbed ahold of the design and power requirements silver-faced era and never looked back. From exceptional tuners to monster receivers, Kenwood products from this time period are built well and provide excellent sound quality.

The KA-9100 Integrated Amplifier is one example of Kenwood’s lasting excellence in design. Introduced in 1977, the DC-coupled power amplifier is capable of a room-filling 90 watts per channel into 8 ohms.  And the amp is packed with features that make it highly-functioning even today: dual-phono inputs, dual speaker outputs, dual tape loops, and inputs for Aux and Tuner allow for excellent versatility.  Tone, Loudness and and Balance controls are on-board and commensurate with the time period.  The signal meters have adjustable sensitivity as well. And the brushed aluminum front face plate, bold lettering, and soft backlit meters finish off the classic look of this unit.

The KT-7500, although not from the same series as the 9100, looks like an almost perfect match for the amp's classic lines.  The KT-7500 AM/FM-Stereo tuner sounds and looks amazing. The massive dial reads clearly and the fixed and variable outputs are a nice touch for integrating with other sources that have differing output voltages.
