This incredible classic Kenwood receiver was released in 1976. The KR-6060 has the classic look of 1970’s Kenwood with some updates to controls, leaving Kenwood's standard push-button selectors in favor of more toggle switches. The KR-6060 generates plenty of power at 56 watts per channel into 8 ohms and total harmonic distortion of 0.1%. Like a lot of the other Kenwood models it has a great FM tuner section and phono section as well.
The KR-6060 is a full-featured unit. It sports a loudness switch, tone controls, subsonic and ultrasonic filters, and multiple tape loop connections. The four large analog meters positioned above the full-length AM/FM dial measure tuning and signal strength, as well as left and right channel power output. This unit has all of the classic appeal of much higher-priced vintage receivers: an elegant and classic look.
This particular unit has been fully serviced. All controls cleaned and lubed. The FM tuner gear assembly has been replaced for smooth feel. Power meters have been aligned. DC offset has been adjusted and FM tuning has been adjusted for the best possible signal.
Demos are highly encouraged! No disappointments here!
