Klipsch KG 5.2... 90s Rockers!

The Klipsch KG 5.2's are a large two way system featuring a one inch horn loaded tweeter and a ten inch woofer augmented by a twelve inch passive radiator. The crossover frequency is listed at 1800 Hz. Despite this, these speakers have a really nice midrange and very stable, defined imaging. With a frequency response down to 34hz, the 5.2's are capable of delivering the lowest octaves, perfect for reproducing the low tones of a pipe organ or more appropriately, The Beastie Boys block-rockin beats. We find the sound pretty balanced though and perfect for playing any type of music. All that and they are cool looking, too.
At the time of their introduction, they were the top of the line of the KG series and Klipsch sold a ton of them mostly in black ash. Here we have a really nice set in dark "burnt oak" finish. They present exceptionally well and play as all Klipsh speakers do from this series - punchy, electric and w/some real bass slam. All in all a terrific set of floorstanders made with Klipsch build quality. A real find in this condition.
