Klipsch KG2 Monitors - Rock'n Good Time!

The Klipsch kg2 is a compact two-way speaker system known for it's dynamic sound and impressive bass response for its relatively compact size cabinet; achieved by utilizing a 8" passive radiator on the back. These may not get the "magical" heritage accolades but nonetheless, the kg2 is praised for its warm low-end and overall clarity making them an outstanding option for smaller rooms and vintage setups. They are also known for their high efficiency and require modest amplification to launch.

The build quality is really up there with finer speakers of the 90's era. The enclosure is heavy and sturdy, the woofer and passive radiator surrounds are rubber so they won’t deteriorate like foam, and they even went through the hassle of book-matching the veneer on them - this set being in the way cool Black Ashe finish. We are playing these lively fellows with a classic Marantz PM500 and I knew it would be magic the second I spotted the PM500 on our shelf. Maybe a bit over-powered for these but the sonic package of the Marantz is a perfect fit for these kg2s - we got liftoff and the result was excellent and as expected.
