Part of Klipsch’s “Legend Series,” the KLF-C7 two-way center channel speaker was first introduced in 1997 and manufactured until 2001. While no longer in production, KLF-C7 speakers are still owned and listened to by Klipsch fans around the world as part of home theater surround sound systems. The KLF Legend series carried the water for several years after the development of the KG series in the 1990s. The KLF series attempted to rekindle the exceptional build quality and superior performance Klipsch was classically known for.
The KLF-C7 can only be described as "beefy" in the world of center channel speakers. It's heavy, sorta tall, and the sound is powerful and forward. It's perfectly suited for center channel vocals, and effect where you want to be grabbed by the TV and thrust into the action.
With a power handling of 150 watts RMS (600 watt peak), a 99dB efficiency level, and 8 ohm nominal impedance, this large speaker is a breeze to drive. Of course, like most things, it sounds better when higher quality power is applied to it. But it performs admirably with even moderate power. It's super efficient and the TracTrix shaped horn which sits in front of a classic K-90 1" compression tweeter spreads audible information through the soundstage with ease. Dual 8" poly cone woofers have flat response down to 75 Hz.
This unit is in great physical condition. The Black Ash finish is clean and the grille fabric is free of rips or tears.
Demos are encouraged in Andover, MA.
