Yes, it's true. The Klipschorn, affectionately called the “K‑Horn,” is indeed recognized as the longest‑continuously produced consumer loudspeaker in history. Originally launched in 1946, it's still handcrafted in Hope, Arkansas and sold today, with remarkably few changes from the original design.  It continues to be featured as an enduring model in the Klipsch Heritage lineup alongside other legacy products like La Scala, Cornwall, and Heresy.

Some time in 1975, this pair of K-Horns were born. This set were purchased by a passionate audiophile, and remained with that same family for 50 years. The "Custom Cherry" wood veneered finish and cane grilles were carefully selected to match the family's home decor.  This set is spectacular visually, and even better sonically.  We updated the tweeter diaphragms with new phenolic pieces that are designed and engineered to perform exactly the same as the originals.  Performance is exceptional.  Just what one would expect from a speaker design that has remained largely unchanged for an entire human lifetime.

The K-Horn was engineered to reproduce the full dynamic range of live music with minimal distortion, maximum efficiency, and thunderous low-frequency extension.  And even today, this design still delivers the goods.  Classical music flows into the room, effortlessly, with dynamics and presence that just can't be matched with traditional "boxed" speaker systems.  Jazz ensembles reverberate in a way that matched the effect of a live performance.  Classic rock, ROCKS!   These speakers just de everything extremely well. And with 103dB efficiency, they do it with VERY modest levels of power.  Depending on the room, 3-5 SET tube watts could absolutely light these things up beautifully.

Enclosure Design:
Folded exponential bass horn (requires corner placement for proper performance)
Sealed upper cabinet housing midrange and tweeter horns

Frequency Response:
Approximately 33 Hz – 17,000 Hz ±5 dB
(Varies slightly depending on room placement and production year)

Sensitivity:
104 dB SPL / 1W / 1m
Exceptionally high efficiency; ideal for low-powered tube amplifiers

Nominal Impedance:
8 ohms (some versions marked as 16 ohms, depending on driver configuration)

Demos are highly encouraged in Andover, MA.

$4,999/pair (plus sales tax)
