Machiavelli Mk II Moving Coil Cartridges, Red or Gold

The Machiavelli line of cartridges are exceptional Moving Coil models from the renown Italian manufacturer, Gold Note.  Maker of the absolutely stunning IS-1000 integrated amplifiers, the Machiavelli line of cartridges are hand-built and computer-modeled and incredibly revealing.  

This refined low-output series of MC cartridges have been newly re-engineered as the MkII version, offering improved output levels and optimized impedance. Housed in an elegantly contoured body, the Machiavelli MkII delivers exceptional balance, dynamic range, and musicality—an ideal match for any discerning vinyl enthusiast.

The line consists of the "Red" Low Output Moving Coil (HOMC) and "Gold" Low Output Moving Coil (LOMC).  Both cartridges are considered reference models by the brand and feature machined metallic alloy housings and an incredibly light-weight mechanism.  The total mass of either style is 10g.  

The Red design utilizes a Micro-Elliptical, Ogura Diamond Mount stylus and cantilever with a final output of 0.5mV and 40ohm impedance.

The Gold design uses a Line-Contact cut, also with Ogura Diamond Mount stylus and cantilever with a final output of 0.4mV and 30 ohm impedance.
